HAIR CARE
STEP 1: Always comb your extensions upwards from the tips to the roots to get rid of knots with a paddle brush or wide tooth comb. The comb is better as its less likely to rip out hair from the weft.
STEP 2: Wash your hair every 1-2 weeks. Virgin hair is more prone to being greasy than our own so its important to keep it clean.
STEP 3: Deep condition between washes and after washing to keep the hair soft and healthy.
STEP 4: Try to reduce the amount of heat your hair is exposed to by airdrying instead of blowdrying. Blowdrying will get rid of the 'natural state' look and blow the curls out of place. Instead of a curling wand or iron, try bendy rollers. If you do decide to blowdry, straighten or curl the hair, use a heat Protectant just to be safe.
STEP 5: Just because a product works for your own natural hair doesn't mean it will be good for your extensions. Avoid greasy or heavy products as it will weigh down the hair.
STEP 6: If possible plait your hair into one braid before sleeping to keep the waves/ curls intact and keep the moisture in your hair. Also you should purchase a satin scarf or cap to sleep in to help keep moisture in your hair.
STEP 7: Do not neglect your own hair! -Eni' Beauty Dose
Microblading after-care is very important to the appearance and longevity of your new eyebrows. Do not let any water, lotion, soap, or makeup touch your eyebrow area during the first 7 days after your procedure.
After 5-7 days, make sure your hands are completely clean and gently apply the post-care ointment with clean hands. This can be done once at night time, but be sure to use the ointment sparingly as your skin needs to heal itself. Please continue to apply the ointment for 7 days.
The following must be avoided during all 14 days post-microblading procedure:
-
Increased sweating
-
Practicing sports
-
Swimming
-
Hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi
-
Sun tanning or salon tanning
-
UV/UVA Rays or chemicals as they have been known to cause a shift in color and premature fading
-
Any laser or chemical treatments or peelings, and/or any creams containing Retin-A or Glycolic acid on the face or neck
-
Picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment
-
Performing tasks related to heavy household cleaning such as garage or basement cleaning where there is a lot of airborne debris
-
Drinking alcohol in excess, as it may lead to slow healing of wounds
-
Driving in open air vehicles such as convertibles, boats, bicycles, or motorcycles
-
Touching of the eyebrow area except for when rinsing and applying the post-care cream with a cotton swab
Please wash your face carefully around the eyebrow without getting water on the treated area. During the shower, keep your face away from the showerhead or take a bath.
Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post-microblading procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after-care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear.
If you have any unexpected problems with the healing of the skin, please contact All Things Beaute immediately, to discuss further instructions. Also, be sure to schedule your follow appointment in 30 days.
MICROBLADING AFTER-CARE
LASH CARE
1. Try not to touch them much, particularly during the first few hours. The more you touch them, the more oils from your fingers get on them, the more strain on the lash root etc.
2. Keep them as dry as possible for at least 24-36 hours. This means, it’s ideal if don’t wash your hair during this time. However, if you need to, use only lukewarm water, and keep water off your eyes. This also includes avoiding steamy environments, very hot showers, spas, saunas etc. for 24 hours as a minimum. If it’s a very hot and humid day, try to stay out of the heat. All of this will allow the adhesive to cure as strongly as possible.
3. After the 24 hour mark, they are technically waterproof, however, if you are swimming or sitting in a hot spa daily, they probably won’t last quite as long as if you didn’t, more from rubbing them when water gets in your eyes.
4. If you have a very oily face, try to control this as much as possible with blotting papers, mattifying lotions etc. and by using oil-control moisturizer.
5. Make sure you are using oil-free products on your face, particularly eye makeup removers and cleansers. We can recommend products.
6. Clean them properly, at least a few times a week with a foaming lash cleanser. Baby shampoo (not the conditioning type) in very small amounts is ok too.
7. Let us know before your infill if you think you will need more time because you have lost more lashes than expected, or want to upgrade to a thicker set/more lashes.
